Kapihan

It's Thursday again! And despite the horrible wind and the forecasted rain, I put my trainers and coat on and headed outside, with a specific destination on my mind.

Kapihan, a Filipino bakery located in the heart of Battersea, caught my eye two weeks ago. My boyfriend and I were out and about, enjoying the warm Spring sunshine and whilst avoiding the crowds on the riverwalk, we strolled through the local streets.

As soon as we crossed Battersea Park Road and headed towards Battersea Park, the dark green facade sprang to my eye. Looks like a coffee shop!, I thought and right I was! Shame on us did we just buy a very filling and hot coffee from the Feel Good Bakery and still had left, so we just passed by. But if you are me, you for sure remember to come back.

Which we did, the following day - and were prompt too late. It was Sunday and they closed at 2pm. We only were 10 minutes late ...

As I knew my coffee Thursday would come up again, I decided to head there, no matter the weather. I planned my journey and walk so I would arrive exactly at 8.30am, when they would open their doors. And even being one minute earlier, they already had a queue inside.

Once the person in front of me left, I stepped inside and immediately fell in love with the place. The big windows on both front walls make the space bright and wide, highlighting the Filipino treats on the display. They all looked delicious and intriguing and I'll be sure to buy one during my next visit!

When it was my time to order, I chose my regular oat latte and shortly afterwards, headed outside, sipping a delicious coffee.

Happy Thursday!
